Terms & Conditions

Through acknowledging these terms and conditions, you and Cambridge Open Academy trading under MAYFAIR COLLEGE LTD (Company registered in England and Wales. Company no: 12389626) have entered into a legally binding agreement.

You agree to pay the course charge ('Course Fee') for the Course you have chosen under this Student Contract ('Course') by accepting these conditions.

Cambridge Open Academy agrees, following receipt of the Course Fee, to: provide you with all modules, video lessons, and assignments for your Course ('Course Materials'); evaluate and mark your assignments; respond to any questions you may have about your Course; and, after completing all tasks, issue a Certificate or Diploma (with an additional payment, depending on the course type).

Any resources not mentioned as Course Materials for your Course are not covered by the Course Fee. You may need to bring personal equipment in addition to the Course Materials at your own expense, such as a Makeup Kit, according to Cambridge Open Academy. Cambridge Open Academy will give you a Certificate for your Course if you complete all assignments successfully, pay the Course Fee in total, and pay the certificate fees.

As you progress through the Course and submit your assignments, you will have access to course materials. If you refuse to pay any portion of the Course Fee when it becomes due, Cambridge Open Academy reserves the right to withdraw the availability of Course Materials. You must deliver the total payments on or before the due date if you are paying by instalments.

If you do not pay any instalment by the due date, Cambridge Open Academy reserves the right to demand the outstanding balance of the Course Fee. However, a grace period or the option to reschedule payments may be offered, depending on individual circumstances.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

We shall make the digital content accessible as soon as we approve your order. Although you have 14 calendar days from the date on which the purchase contract is concluded to cancel your purchase of the Course within this policy. It is known as the Cancellation Period. Once payment is received and products have been delivered to the student’s dashboard or accessed, refunds are not available, except in cases where the digital content is faulty or misrepresented. This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer protection laws.

Suppose you redeem your voucher during the Cancellation Period. In that case, you explicitly request that we immediately send course materials to you, and you agree that you forfeit your right to cancel the Course purchase and receive a refund. If you decide to cancel your course purchase, you can do so by contacting us.

Note:

All coupons for external exams must be used within six months after purchase.

Even though Cambridge Open Academy strives to provide the best prices, because some courses are sourced from outside sources, our prices may occasionally be higher than those of our suppliers. You will not be eligible for a refund if you purchased one of our courses and later discovered it was cheaper elsewhere.

It is your obligation to confirm that the Course is appropriate for you before purchasing it from us. Our website provides relevant information about all of the courses and previews for some of them. However, it should be emphasised that not having access to a demonstration does not imply cancellation rights.

The comprehensive course information is intended to lessen the chances of you making a mistake. Examine the course description as well as the technical specifications. Check that the Course will run on your PC and that you are comfortable with the depth and style of the Course by accessing the sample course (if available).

You can speak with one of our training consultants to learn more about the courses and validate the information you've seen on the website so you can make an informed decision about which Course best meets your needs.

Please be aware that because some of the courses are sourced by us, you will be expected to respond to a communication from one of our providers to access the course(s) you have acquired. Besides that, please be aware that while Cambridge Open Academy can usually assist with any course access or user issues, in rare cases, we may need to contact our third-party developers on your behalf, which could take up to 7 to 10 working days to resolve.

'Deposit' is a word that has a lot of different meanings. You should be aware that a deposit is only a portion of the service's total cost (Course in our case). Once you put down a payment, you indicate that you want to buy a course and sign a contract with us. Please keep in mind that fees are non-refundable unless you have statutory protection and we are satisfied that you have met all of the conditions.

How long would it take for my refund to be processed?

A refund will take up to 14 business days to process.

Exams & Certificates

Exam vouchers will be issued in response to your exam scheduling request. Exam vouchers all have an expiration date, which is calculated from the date of purchase. Before completing a purchase, please review the website and, if you have any more questions, please get in touch with one of our training consultants by dialling one of our company numbers.

External exams are an additional fee to students because they are a commercial event outside of Cambridge Open Academy, and we have no influence over their rates.

On request, course accomplishment certificates can be emailed for a small fee.

Prior to booking or taking the exam, the delegate must check that they meet the course and exam prerequisites. If you are unsure, don't hesitate to contact our customer service team, who would be pleased to help.

It is not possible to transfer the Course to another person.

The Course Materials provided by Cambridge Open Academy will become your property. The content of the Course Materials, including copyright and all other intellectual property rights, remains the property of Cambridge Open Academy or a designated third party. Students are granted a limited, non-transferable license to access and use the Course Materials solely for their personal educational purposes during the course duration. Without Cambridge Open Academy's prior written permission, you may not copy any element of the Course Materials. You must not copy or download any of the videos offered to you to aid your learning, as these materials remain the copyright of Cambridge Open Academy or a designated third party and can only be accessed through Cambridge Open Academy's resources.

Plagiarism is not tolerated at Cambridge Open Academy. Cambridge Open Academy has the right to dismiss you from the Course if there is proof of plagiarism in any of your assignment submissions. You must not copy or download any of the videos offered to you to aid your learning, as these materials remain the copyright of Cambridge Open Academy or a designated third party and can only be accessed through Cambridge Open Academy's resources.

Students enrolled in the Certificate Program have up to 12 months to finish their studies. Students enrolled in the Diploma Program have up to 18 months to complete their courses. If necessary, additional extensions are allowed; however, Cambridge Open Academy has the right to charge a fee for extensions. Cambridge Open Academy takes no liability if any third-party offers or discounts are revoked by the third-party provider. This training is not open to anyone under the age of sixteen. For students aged 16 to 18, parental or guardian consent is required prior to enrollment. If you require any additional information, please get in touch with us.

Consumer Rights and Governing Law

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes arising under or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Force Majeure Clause

Cambridge Open Academy shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform any obligation under these terms if the delay or failure is due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, natural disasters, strikes, or governmental action.

Data Protection

Cambridge Open Academy is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with data protection laws. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

Amendments to Terms and Conditions

User Obligations

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cambridge Open Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from or in connection with your use of the website or Course Materials. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms shall be limited to the amount paid by you for the Course.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us first to attempt to resolve the issue amicably. If a resolution cannot be reached, any disputes shall be resolved through mediation before resorting to legal action. Mediation will take place in England and Wales.

Severability

If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be deemed to be modified to the extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These terms and conditions, along with any additional terms and conditions or policies referred to herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cambridge Open Academy regarding the subject matter and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
