    Manage a team of assessors, oversee performance, workflow, and quality, and contribute to service development and audits.
    Salary: £50,000 – £70,000+ per year (higher in larger providers).
  • Independent / Freelance Disability Assessor
    Work on a contract or locum basis across multiple providers, offering flexibility in assessments (often hybrid or home-based after gaining experience).
    Salary: £45,000 – £75,000+ equivalent (depending on volume and rates).
  • Specialist Assessor (e.g., Mental Health, MSK, or Complex Needs) / Progression to Other Benefits Roles
