Overview

Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner training opens the door to one of the most in-demand roles in UK mental health support. With around 1 in 4 people in the UK experiencing a mental health problem each year, skilled practitioners who can offer real, practical help are needed more than ever.

This Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner course starts by defining psychological wellbeing and what good mental health actually looks like. You’ll build a solid understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and its key principles, learning how to assess a person’s mental capacity and psychological state with confidence. From there, you’ll explore common mental health disorders such as anxiety and depression, and how low-intensity approaches, including CBT techniques, can support recovery.

You’ll also develop the core communication and counselling skills needed to support people through difficult times, alongside guided self-help methods and an understanding of risk assessment and safeguarding. It’s a practical, structured course that mirrors the real responsibilities of this role.

Whether you’re working towards a career in mental health support, primary care, or wellbeing services, this course gives you a strong, accredited grounding in psychological wellbeing that you can apply with real confidence.
